high performance films for glass

Where total privacy is required, opaque black-out, white-out, or other translucent film can be used.

Frosted effect privacy film effectively transforms a 'goldfish bowl' into a private, but light-filled office.

Museum film effectively blocks UV light, delivering excellent fade reduction results.

Privacy Film & Museum Film

While many installations use solar control window film, safety & security window film, or manifestation graphics, there’s also a range of window films for several other specialist purposes, including:

Privacy film – black-out/white-out, mirror/reflective, frosted/opaque
Museum film – also known as fade reduction film or UV film
Anti-graffiti film – to protect glass against graffiti vandals.

The properties of these specialist window films can often be combined with the properties of other types of window film to provide a single, multi-purpose film – eg. privacy film can also be combined with the properties of solar control or security window films.

Privacy Film

Privacy window film is quickly and cleanly installed onto existing glazing to prevent prying eyes seeing into a room. It provides a highly cost-effective method of enhancing privacy to one of three levels, depending on the risk of security or theft:

Black-out/White-out Film - to completely stop the passage of light and vision from both sides – ideal where 100% privacy is required.
Mirror Film – a daylight privacy film which restricts vision from the outside but allows vision from the inside, while still allowing up to 70% of natural light through. Reflective film is ideal if you want to get rid of the hassle of blinds and yet still retain privacy during daylight hours.
Frosted Film - to obscure vision in both directions while still allowing natural light through. Opaque film is ideal for internal office partitions to overcome the ‘goldfish bowl’ problem. See also manifestation graphics.

Museum Film/Fade Reduction Film

Exposure to direct sunlight can cause many coloured or painted materials to fade. Damage due to fading is caused by UV light, visible light, heat (including infrared) artificial lighting indoors, humidity and poor dye anchorage. Our fade reduction film – also known as UV film or anti-fade film – can virtually eliminate these problems.

Anti-Graffiti Film

Anti-Graffiti film provides a tough, clear protective cover on any smooth surface to prevent damage by graffiti vandals. This unique film is designed to protect glass, plexiglass, metal and other non-porous surfaces from spray paints, marker pen inks and diamond cutters. The special mounting adhesive makes it easy to remove and replace the film if graffiti vandalism occurs.
